How do i obtain the SVN build?

Use the SVN binary to check out the build as follows:

svn co http://svn.inspircd.org/repository/trunk/inspircd

IMPORTANT NOTE: This command checks out the trunk of subversion which contains active development and may often be broken or not suitable for production use. Before using trunk for anything other than to satisfy curiosity, please consult the development team on IRC. To check out the stable branch, please use this command instead:

svn co http://svn.inspircd.org/repository/branches/1_1_stable

How can i contribute to SVN if i am not a developer?

Simply send us a patch against the current trunk version, and we will review it.

Where do fixes get committed?

We commit fixes to both trunk/ and any branches that are still being maintained. This is done by a combination of manually merging fixes and use of the svnmerge utility.

Which SVN branch should i use?

As of 1.0.3, we have restructured our SVN repository. For information on which branch you should use depending on your needs please refer to the diagram below.
